Creating the hanging chair turned into a real project for me — one that required a great deal of time, patience, and effort. Throughout the process I encountered several challenges, but overcoming them ultimately made the final result even more meaningful and rewarding.
Η αναζήτηση τεχνίτη για τον μεταλλικό σκελετό
The next step was finding the right ropes. Although this challenge was somewhat easier, it still required careful consideration. Eventually, I chose the best possible solution — reinforced braided synthetic ropes.
These ropes are highly durable, resistant to wear over time, and very easy to clean, which makes them ideal for furniture that is both decorative and functional.
Η επιλογή ανθεκτικών και πρακτικών υλικών
Το επόμενο βήμα ήταν η εύρεση των κατάλληλων σχοινιών. Αυτή η διαδικασία ήταν λίγο πιο εύκολη, αλλά και πάλι απαιτούσε προσεκτική επιλογή. Τελικά κατέληξα στην καλύτερη δυνατή λύση — συνθετικά πλεκτά σχοινιά με ενίσχυση. Τα συγκεκριμένα σχοινιά είναι ιδιαίτερα ανθεκτικά, δεν φθείρονται εύκολα με τον χρόνο και καθαρίζονται πολύ εύκολα, διατηρώντας την καρέκλα πάντα σε άψογη κατάσταση. 90 hours of work and nearly 1,400 meters of strong synthetic rope.
Every detail demanded patience and attention, as the quality of the weaving affects not only the appearance but also the strength and reliability of the chair.
Μια επίπονη αλλά δημιουργική διαδικασία
Παρά τις δυσκολίες, το τελικό αποτέλεσμα με δικαίωσε απόλυτα. Η κρεμαστή καρέκλα–«φωλιά» αποδείχθηκε όχι μόνο άνετη και λειτουργική, αλλά και ιδιαίτερα όμορφη αισθητικά.
It has already received many positive reviews, and for me it has become a true source of pride — a creation that reflects persistence, creativity, and a genuine desire to craft something both beautiful and practical.
